TigerTamerDB is a database of questions aimed at students of the Sun Certified Java Programmers (SCJP) exam for the JDK 1.5 (also known as Java 5). All questions were written by Marcus Green who has co-authored two books on the SCJP and is webmaster of http://www.jchq.net, one of the biggest sources of information on the SCJP on the web. His mock exams have been accessed hundreds of thousands of times and they have offered a very good guide to judge if candidates are ready for the real exam. When taking the real exam, most students achieve within one or two percent of the score achieved on the Mock exams by Marcus.
The database contains over 350 questions and all questions are written to explicitly address the topics on the published exam objectives. All code examples have been tested against the Sun JDK1.5 (Java 5) compiler. The database can be accessed through any standard web browser. Registered users can select which topics appear on each exam attempt. The results of each attempt are stored with the user account and allow the user to concentrate on topics according to previous scores. For example a user may decide to take tests that contain questions only on Threading if the results of previous attempts show limited success with that topic.
You can test out the system with guest access by logging in with a username of "guest" and a password of "password" at http://www.examulator.com/phezam/login.php. Guest access does not allow you to select the topics on the exam and is restricted to only 60 questions out of the database.
